Did someone say tailgate? You heard that right, football season is upon us! Which means wearing your team’s colors, enjoying your favorite icy cold beverage and, of course, tailgate fare! Mindy Lockard shares a simple-yet-delicious slider recipe that’s great for sharing.

Grilled Sliders Recipe

1 lb ground sirloin
salt and pepper
slider buns
deli cheese slices, variety of types
bacon, cooked and cut into thirds
avocado, sliced horizontally in circles*
tomatoes, sliced horizontally in circles
butter lettuce leaves, small pieces
onions, sliced horizontally in circles

parchment paper
ice cream scoop

1. Using an ice cream scoop, spoon ground sirloin onto parchment paper
2. Salt and pepper sirloin
3. Lay another piece of parchment paper on top
4. Press down on top of parchment paper to form patties
5. Over medium-high heat, place each burger on grill
6. Cook approx. 2 min on each side
7. When almost done cooking, add cheese
8. Remove from grill and place onto slider buns
9. Assemble all fixings on large platter and serve

*Tip: Slice avocado into circles horizontally, so it easily fits on the sliders!
