Market of Choice and the USDA is allowing the purchase of hot foods using Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) EBT Benefits now and until Nov. 20, 2020.

Due to power outages and displacement from homes caused by wildfires, participating retail food providers, including Market of Choice, will accept SNAP benefits in exchange for hot foods and foods intended to be consumed on the retailer premises.

When hot foods are purchased with SNAP EBT benefits through Nov. 20, the purchases are not subject to sales tax, as the foods are considered SNAP eligible during this time period.
